This area may be of interest as it is at times home to some of the largest thunderstorms known in the solar system, and certainly provide upwellings of gas to fuel the GRS when it cools. Perhaps both daytime and night-time views. as lightning may be visible.

The Giant Red Spot appears to have a tail to the right of the Spot, it would be great to see a close up at that location.

I'm curious about the characteristics of a Jupiter thunderstorm, 1. because of the extreme differences between Jupiter and Earth's environments, and 2. because these thunderstorms are apparently the largest known in the solar system.

I wonder if whatever is in the red spot is what is causing these massive storms?

The thunderstorms on Earth can be bad enough, so I wonder how intense they are on Jupiter given the much harsher conditions and chemical composition

I wonder how harsh the conditions really are at the surface in order for there to be such bad, consistent storms.

The lightning on Jupiter must be really interesting!

I've always wondered what Jupiter's lightning would look like.
