We should study this area to learn how the gas that this stripe is made of could stay in such a perfect stripe. Maybe it could be some unknown mass inside of Jupiter.

    I am curious to know why there is a consistent uniform band on Jupiter. It will be interesting to find out what it is made out of!

    Agreed. I'd love to learn how and why this stripe forms in such a uniform band on such a turbulent planet.

    Interesting thought.. I agree that this area could provide some important information. Especially in contrast to all other areas on Jupiter this one seems to be strangely "stable".

    A continuing series of images could provide valuable data over time; seems like a useful opportunity.

    This is the newly revived NTB (South component). Since the great outbreak initiated the revival of this belt last autumn, we have a unique opportunity to monitor its progress. JunoCam already got fine images at PJ-3 and PJ-4; let’s continue the series to see how the belt is changing.
