A heavily processed image showing Jupiter's northern latitudes. North is to the upper right and the bright clouds below and right of center are located near planetographic latitude 70 degrees north.

The image is heavily contrast enhanced and small scale features have been sharpened. The color saturation was increased to exaggerate color differences. This reveals a lot of interesting features, including very subtle haze bands that extend up and to the left from the bottom center. These bands are located near planetographic latitude 65 degrees north.

The original image data is rather dark. When it is dark, color 'discontinuities' sometimes show up, apparently because of the way in which the companding/decompanding functions associated with JunoCam work. I strongly suspect that the purple color visible at some locations (e.g. right of and below center) is caused by this and is therefore not a real feature.
