The oldest south pole of the solar system, a star that never started to shine

I am 40 years old, I grew up reading Carl Sagan's cosmos every night, I read again and again how the voyager 2 flew with Jupiter, now I can see the photos of this planet in raw ....

I leave this picture of the south pole that I find fascinating, more than a planet I have the impression of seeing the surface structure of a star that did not shine, very similar to the sun ... convective currents, storms remind me of sunspots.

Now I am the one who reads my 3 year old son cosmos every night before going to sleep, I hope he can see the solar system in a way that I can not even imagine.
