Perijove 25

Here is a report on the PJ25 images.

Highlights:

An impressive panorama of diverse circulations is imaged in the N3 and N2 domains, including a pair of merging cyclones in the N3 domain, the large anticyclonic oval NN-WS-4, a faded orange segment of NNTB, and NNTBs jet spots.  Also, a row of three very dark ‘mini-barges’ forming in the NTB(N).

The camera team are now able to get methane images showing fine details at mid-latitudes.

In the NEB, closeups show an unexpected spiral cyclone.

In the STB, the region following oval BA is imaged, including the preceding end of the STB Spectre, which has caught up with the structures following BA, so it could soon undergo a transformation.

Around the south pole, there are again 5 (not 6) circumpolar cyclones; the extra one has gone and the pentagon is actually more symmetrical than before.
